First Extreme High Temperature Issued in Northern Kyushu

Outside temperature exceeded 35°C in Kurume City at around 13:30 on June 9, making for the first Extreme High Temperature (‘mousho -bi’) report for 2021 in Japan. Daytime high rose to 35.6°C in the city. It also reached 35.1°C in the cities of Saga and Hita (Oita) due to the high-pressure system. Source: Nikkei / RKB
