First Kumamon Melon Harvest

A Kumamoto-based farm announced the development of melons grown with images of Kumamon on their outer skin. The technique to create the likeness of the mascot took four years to develop. Thin lines are cut out on young fruit to make the illustration after the melon grows! The first 70 melons will be presented to crowdfunding supporters, and more will become available online from spring 2022. Source: FNN
