First Lychee Picking Farm Near Fukuoka Opens

The first lychee picking farm in the northern Kyushu opened on July 2. Located in Kiyama Town of Saga Prefecture, the tourist farm attracted 400 visitors during a week-long pre-opening operation in 2019. Approximately 600 trees produce juicy tropical fruit that is commonly sold frozen in Japan. Picking is available from July 2 until the farm runs out of lychees. Sources: Saga Nouson / Kankotaiken
