Foreign Residents Get Earthquake Support in Hikawa

Hikawa Town in Kumamoto held a consultation session for foreign residents affected by the July earthquake. Vietnamese and Filipino residents, along with representatives of companies employing foreign workers, attended the meeting. Officials and administrative scriveners explained national and prefectural support available to foreign residents and listened to their concerns. Hikawa has about 290 foreign residents, and this was the town’s first consultation of its kind since the disaster. Similar sessions are planned in Yatsushiro and Uki.
