As of October 2024, the number of foreign workers in Fukuoka Prefecture reached a record 76,199, up 17.2% year-on-year, according to the Fukuoka Labour Bureau. By nationality, Vietnamese made up the largest share at 28.7% (21,888), followed by Nepali (21%, 16,019), Chinese (14.5%, 11,034), and Indonesian (7.4%, 5,649) workers.
