Foreigners Entering Kyushu 96.7 Less Than a Year Ago

Kyushu District Transport Bureau announced on April 16 that the number of foreigners who entered Japan via Kyushu in March 2020 numbered 11,102, a decline of 96.7% compared to the previous before. The largest single-month drop since 2007 was caused by the lingering impact of the new coronavirus spread. With extended cancellations of international flights and immigration restrictions, the bureau anticipates a further fall for April. Sources: Nikkei / Sankei
