A record high number of foreigners visited Kyushu in August this year. The figure for Aug. 2012 was 113,627 a 58.4% increase from Aug. 2011. The increased figures reflects a recovery for the inbound tourism industry in Japan which was adversely affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March, 2011.
