Former Governor Hiroshi Ogawa of Fukuoka Prefecture, who was undergoing medical treatment for adenocarcinoma cancer, passed away today. He was 72 years old. He joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1973 and was elected Governor of Fukuoka in 2011. He resigned on March 24, 2021, to undergo medical treatment during his third term as governor. Source: NHK
