Four new measles cases bring Fukuoka total to 16

Four more measles cases have been confirmed in Fukuoka Prefecture, bringing this year’s total to 16. The patients are three teenagers in Fukuoka City and a man in his 50s in Onojo. The man had traveled overseas to an area with a measles outbreak, while the teenagers had no overseas travel history. Two of the patients used the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line and Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station while potentially infectious. The prefecture is asking anyone who suspects measles to telephone a medical facility before visiting. Source: RKB News / KBC News
