Fujitsu to Close Kagoshima Semiconductor Plant
Fujitsu announced it will close the Kyushu plant of its semiconductor manufacturing subsidiary in Kyushu and outsource the production to an Oita-based company. They will also withdraw from the assembly and inspection of semiconductors in Japan. The Kagoshima plant will be closed in the latter half of 2013, and the employees transferred to the Oita company or within the Fujitsu group.
