JAL has launched a new domestic service that offers added comforts such as inflight WiFi access and roomy leather seats; Dubbed “JAL Sky Next” the plane’s debut route is between Haneda, Tokyo and Fukuoka Domestic Airport from May 28. It’s the first time for a domestic flight in Japan to offer internet access, with WiFi available for ¥400~¥500 per 30 minutes (unlimited plan also avail.). The cabin lighting uses LEDs and the colors change according to season and time of day. JAL plans to upgrade all 77 domestic-flying planes to these standards by 2016.
