Fukuoka ranks 7th most liveable city in Monocle’s annual Quality of Life Survey for 2016! After ranking 12th in 2015, Fukuoka City moved up five places! Monocle praised Fukuoka, saying that, “Under the inventive Mayor Takashima, this thriving city on the island of Kyushu is becoming ever more green, bike-friendly and business savvy.” Other Japanese cities in the top 25 were Tokyo – #1, and Kyoto at #9.
