Fukuoka Airport Reopens Food Court

Fukuoka Airport reopened its domestic terminal food court on April 1 after relocating it to the third floor as part of ongoing redevelopment. The upgrade is linked to construction of a new multi-use complex scheduled to open next summer. The redesigned space features open runway views and a brighter interior, replacing the previous darker design. Seating remains at around 400, with new additions including family-friendly areas, raised seating, and tables equipped with charging outlets. Eight outlets, some newly introduced, focus on local dishes such as seafood bowls and udon. Airport operators aim to attract both travelers and local residents, particularly families, by improving comfort and accessibility while positioning the airport as a destination.
