Marine World Uminonakamichi, an aquarium in Fukuoka City, is set to open new interactive zones for visitors by spring of next year, as the facility celebrates its 35th anniversary. On the 21st, Nishitetsu, the company operating the aquarium, announced plans to launch two new areas by late March. The “Island Stage” will feature a 360-degree layout allowing visitors to experience seals and other creatures from every angle, including their movements and vocalizations. “Penguin Beach” will be a unique domestic facility with both a sandbox and a pool, replicating the natural habitat of Cape Penguins found in South Africa. Nishitetsu aims to attract not only local repeat visitors but also those coming from overseas, highlighting the aquarium as a must-visit destination. Source: Nishitetsu
