Fukuoka Bank Warns Companies of Rising Phishing Scams

Fukuoka Bank issued a warning after confirming suspicious calls on November 27 from individuals posing as bank staff or AI-generated voices targeting corporate online banking users. Since early November, similar schemes nationwide have involved callers extracting email addresses and sending links to fake banking portals that capture IDs and passwords. Some cases resulted in unauthorized transfers exceeding ¥100 million. Fukuoka Bank temporarily suspended parts of its corporate e-banking service to prevent fraud and urged clients to access the site directly through official channels. It also asked anyone who entered information into suspicious links to contact the bank immediately. Source: Fukuoka Bank
