The Kyushu Bureau of Telecommunication announced the results of their study of regional broadband diffusion as of the end of this March. The number of contracts in Fukuoka Prefecture in the final quarter last fiscal year rose 1.7% from the previous quarter, with the result that the total diffusion rate among prefectural households stands at 50.4%, exceeding 50% for the first time. The rate for Kyushu as a whole is 42.0%, well below the 55.6% national average.
