On Jun. 10, Fukuoka Prefecture announced plans to relocate Fukuoka Budokan to the former Fukuoka City Civic Gymnasium (Shimin Taiikukan.) The 1979-established Budokan had become outdated and in need of replacement. According to the prefecture, approximately 90,000 people use Budokan each year. Source: KBC
