Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival Returns with Full Format

Fukuoka City announced that the “Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival” will be held from March 24th to April 2nd at Maizuru Park in Chuo Ward in the usual format. The “Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival” was canceled in 2020 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and was held only online the year before last and on a reduced scale last year, making this year’s event the first regular event in four years. During the festival, about 70 gourmet food stalls will be set up in the Koro-kan and Sannomaru plazas, and night lighting will be held at the Sakura Garden near the castle tower and the Tamon-yagura watchtower, which is an important cultural property. The Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival Executive Committee is calling for people to enjoy the cherry blossoms while taking basic infection prevention measures.
