Fukuoka City Advances Smart Farming

Fukuoka City is conducting pilot experiments with private firms to promote smart agriculture through digital technologies. Since August, parts of a farm in Nishi Ward have been provided to three companies for testing. Reports presented on April 3 highlighted innovations such as membrane-based CO2 extraction to enhance strawberry yields, heat-resistant crop development, and AI-enabled robots capable of automatically harvesting ripe strawberries.
