Fukuoka City and Busan, South Korea, finalized an agreement making the fish market of the Fukuoka Central Municipal Wholesale Market and its Busan counterpart officially sister markets. The agreement, which was signed in Busan, means that the two markets will supplement each other’s supplies of maritime products. It also will establish a council to explore joint development projects. The agreement is one of the 23 separate elements of the Supranational Economic Zone project to which both cities agreed in August.
