Fukuoka City Announces Intention to Support Ice Rink

Fukuoka City announced its intention to support the continued operation of Papio Ice Arena financially. The only ice-skating facility in Fukuoka City has been closed for the last two months. The aged facility requires approximately ¥500 million in refurbishment costs or faces permanent closure. Fukuoka City will seek financial collaboration with Fukuoka Prefecture to ensure the continued operation of the sports facility. Source: NHK
