Fukuoka City Announces Subsidies and Support For Local Artists

Fukuoka City announced a new program to support local artists. Performers of music, dance, theater, and traditional arts, painters, and other artists who have been active in the city since 2020 or earlier can apply for the subsidy program. The city would partially cover costs for venues, equipment, anti-infection items, and more by up to ¥500,000. Participating facilities (halls, live houses) are sought until Aug. 2. Also, details for artists would be announced on Jul. 15 on the city’s official website, before the application period begins on 8/6. Source: Sankei / Fukuoka City
