Fukuoka City Collecting Donations for Taiwanese Earthquake

Fukuoka City is collecting donations to support areas affected by an earthquake in the eastern part of Taiwan. Donation boxes have been set up inside the city hall and ward offices throughout Fukuoka. The 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit on February 7, killing nine people and injuring more than 260 others. The collection boxes will be in place until February 28, then distributed through the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. The money raised will be used to support rescue activities and relief work. Fukuoka City also collected donations following the earthquake that occurred in southern Taiwan two years ago. Source: NHK News Web, 2/8/2018
