Fukuoka City Consultation Support Center for Foreign Residents Opens

Fukuoka City’s new consultation center for foreigners opened on Apr. 1 offering support in 17 languages. The one-stop consultation office, Fukuoka City Consultation Support Center for Foreign Residents, provides information that is essential for foreigners living in Fukuoka: visa, work, medical, child care and more. It’s located on the first floor of the Fukuoka City International Center. Fourteen new languages are now available in addition to English, Chinese and Korean by using a phone-based translation service. Since the revised immigration law took effect on Apr. 1, the number of foreign residents in Fukuoka is expected to increase.
