Fukuoka City Cuts Work Hours by 33% with Generative AI Trial

Fukuoka City has announced a 33% reduction in work hours during a generative AI utilization experiment conducted by the AI startup AndDot (Shibuya, Tokyo) for about 40 city employees. The trial showed that tasks such as creating documents, which normally took an hour, were completed in 40 minutes with AI assistance. Based on these results, Fukuoka City is considering a full-scale implementation of generative AI to enhance operational efficiency. The service, QT-GenAI, developed in collaboration with Kyushu Electric Power’s subsidiary QTnet (Fukuoka City), has been under trial since October 2023 to streamline tasks like drafting promotional material for the city.
