Fukuoka City encourages the use of ‘fringe parkings’ (parking lots of the surrounding area of Tenjin) to solve traffic congestion during the year-end and new-year days. Designated lots include the Boat Race Fukuoka #1 parking, the Efu Parking KitaTenjin, and Grand Parking – each of them are located within walking distance of about 10 minutes from the central area of Tenjin. Users of these parking lots can enjoy a discounted parking rate of ¥500/12 hrs by bringing the tickets to the special machine or the sightseeing center in Lion Hiroba. Source: Fukuoka City
