As of yesterday, a gigantic Softbank Hawks shirt is hanging on the western wall of the Fukuoka City Hall to celebrate the team’s 30th year of relocation and Fukuoka City’s 130th anniversary. The decoration measures 30 meters in height and width, hanging from the 14th to the 6th floor of the building. The unique design with two red lines on the hem of the sleeves represents double victory. The text on the shoulder, “We=Kyushu,” conveys the team’s appreciation to Kyushu island. The flag will be on display until Mar. 31 when the Hawks will play five games in April and May wearing this special uniform. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 3/14/2019
