Fukuoka City Increases Support For C19 Home Treatment

Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka City boost their phone consultation support for the new coronavirus patients undergoing treatment at home and non-medical accommodation facilities. Treatment in such environments is anticipated to grow in order to reduce strain on the local medical system.  Fukuoka Prefecture would open a nighttime-and-holiday call center to support patients via phone, including arranging immediate access to medical facilities if needed. Fukuoka City has recently opened a 24h call center for home-treating patients (*phone number is only provided to those patients.) The center uses five lines during daytime and four lines at nighttime, while it can use a maximum of ten lines in case of a further spike in the number of infections. As of May 26, the occupancy rate of secured hospital beds for COVID-19 treatments stood at 73.5%. Source: KBC / KBC2 / TNC
