Chuo Ward of Fukuoka City ranked fifth in the ‘conscious towns ranking’ by Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. The project ranks dynamic urban towns in Japan by 14 criteria, including an abundance of cultural facilities and restaurants, friendliness, diversity, and flexibility of the local community. Each of Kyushu’s top-three towns in the 2021 list ranked even higher; Chuo Ward (8th ->> 5th,) Hakata Ward (40th ->> 28th), and Kokurakita Ward (78th ->> 35th.)
