Fukuoka City announced plans to build a new underground bicycle parking lot on the west side of City Hall. The new lot, which will hold 400 bikes, will connect directly to the Tenjin Chikagai underground mall and the new underground passage (tentatively named Inabacho-dori Underground Corridor) that is planned to run under the street immediately east of Vivre, Tenjin Core and Fukuoka Building. The City plans to consolidate the aboveground bicycle parking scattered throughout the area in the new underground facility, which is slated for completion in fiscal 2017.Source: Nishinippon Shimbun 3/30
