Fukuoka City to Conduct Ballistic Missile Response Training Drill

Fukuoka City will carry out a ballistic missile response training drill on Dec. 1. An emergency message will be sent out to give locals an idea of the kind of warning they can expect to hear if the country will be under attack. The emergency bulletin will be delivered to all compatible (Docomo, Au, SoftBank, and Y! Mobile) phones throughout the city. Devices will still sound even if they have been put on silent mode. If this will be an inconvenience, be sure to temporarily turn off the emergency bulletin reception setting or switch off the power completely. City subway trains will also stop for a few minutes during the drill. This will be primarily a mail delivery training drill, so there is no need to evacuate or carry out any other special measures.
