(*two misreported cases on August 3 in Fukuoka have been deducted from the tally) On August 3, Fukuoka City reported that a resident in her twenties received an incorrect PCR result. After the woman tested negative to the virus, she traveled for some 20 minutes on a chartered microbus for coronavirus patients. Even though she and five other patients were seated at a distance to avoid close contacts, the city asked her to self-isolate until August 16. Additionally, the local pro-soccer team, Avispa Fukuoka, confirmed that its midfielder, Hiroyuki Mae has contracted the virus. Sources: NHK / Asahi / Avispa
