Fukuoka Governor Addresses Complaints About JR Kyushu’s Timetable Revision

Fukuoka Governor, Seitaro Hattori has announced plans to improve convenience in response to complaints about JR Kyushu’s timetable revision last year, which reportedly impacted the daily lives of residents and hindered local economic growth. Hattori made the remarks during the opening of the prefectural assembly on February 27th. According to the Governor, the revision in September last year reduced the number of trains during rush hour, and also brought forward the last train service time, prompting concerns among local municipalities and community groups that this would negatively affect people’s daily lives and local businesses.
