JR Kyushu Bus Co. and three other local bus companies announced they will begin selling 10 seats on their express buses for the one-way trip to Hiroshima for 2,000 yen—half-price. The seats must be purchased in advance, and the offer will last only from September 19 to the end of November. The move is part of the company’s effort to compete with the reduction of highway tolls to 1,000 yen.
