Fukuoka Music Month Pivots To Online

The annual Fukuoka Music Month has canceled all events for September 2020. The festival that began in 2014 consolidates five music festivals and other live concerts, including Sunset Live in Itoshima and Nakasu Jazz. It attracted approximately 260,000 people in 2019 and symbolized Fukuoka’s vibrant music culture. While the cancelation of the performances will cause significant financial damage, the organizer is eagerly seeking ways to continue the tradition: A month-long online music event ‘Music Action Fukuoka’ will take place in September. Daily free music clips from live houses and other locations will be streamed online, aiming to deliver music from Fukuoka worldwide. Source: Music Month
