Fukuoka Office Vacancy Rate Drops Slightly

The vacancy rate for office spaces in Fukuoka’s central business district, including Tenjin, fell by 0.12 percentage points in May to 5.31%, according to Miki Shoji. This marks the first decrease in three months, though the rate has remained above the 5% equilibrium threshold for six consecutive months. In Tenjin, the rate stood at 9.27%, slightly down from the previous month but still historically high. Average rent in the area rose by ¥13 to ¥12,005 per tsubo (approx. 3.3 m2).
