Fukuoka Pref. Police Starts Twitter Account
On Apr. 1, Fukuoka Prefectural Police started an official Twitter account: @fukkei_anshin! The account releases advice and relative information for the protection of women and children; this includes warnings of suspicious persons, incidents of public indecency, and events held by the police to promote safety and awareness. Fukuoka is the third prefecture in Kyushu to create such an account (after Saga and Kumamoto), and it will be managed by five female officers working in rotation.
