On July 11, the Fukuoka Prefecture Aviation Industry Promotion Council held its general meeting along with a workshop. In 2010, the Prefecture established the Council, whose members hail from companies, universities and government agencies, with the two-fold aim of attracting aircraft-related companies to Fukuoka Prefecture and encouraging local companies to enter the aviation sector. At the general meeting, the Fukuoka Aircraft Industry Network (FAIN), a group of companies that aim to enter the aviation industry, gave a powerful presentation on their efforts to date, and the 111 participants listened attentively.
