Fukuoka Prefecture Collecting Crossbows Ahead of Ban

Fukuoka Prefectural Police collecting crossbows (*) brought in by individuals as Japan’s revised Firearms and Swords Control Law comes into effect from Mar. 15. The new rules would ban possession of those arms and lay ¥500,000 fines on those who possess one without special permission. All police stations will accept these times until Sept. 14, 2022.
