The Fukuoka prefectural assembly drafted an ordinance to mandate new coronavirus patients to submit records of their activities. These first such ordinances in Japan also include charging people if they refuse to provide information or submit false information. Guidelines pertaining to the issuance of a ‘special warning’ against the virus infection are also included. The prefecture will start collecting feedback from the public on the matter soon.
