Fukuoka Prefecture Prepares for Lifting of Business Restrictions

Fukuoka Prefecture officially requested lifting the ‘mann-enn boushi to juten sochi’ program to the national government. The regional occupancy rate of secured hospital beds for COVID-19 treatments decreased from over 80% to less than 70% as of yesterday, and demand for critical care has also reduced. Discontinuation of business regulations will allow local eateries to resume regular operation from Mar. 7, while the prefectural governor emphasized that the infection spike is still not entirely under control and people will need to remain cautious.
