On Apr. 16, Invest Japan, a national council for promotion of foreign direct investment in Japan, completed a plan for attracting foreign direct investment to local cities and Fukuoka has been chosen as one of the nine target cities and prefectures. In the program, leaders of the selected regions will be able to attend seminars and training programs of the related themes with higher priority. The Government aims to educate human resources as well as to raise the awareness of the nine areas amongst international entrepreneurs. It is planning to increase the number of the appointed municipalities in the future. Source: Sankei News, 4/16/2019
