Fukuoka Prefecture plans to expand to Taiwan this year the outreach of a program it conducts with the Thai government to promote interaction between small businesses in Asia. The objective is to increase economic ties. They also plan to invite the owners of small businesses in Taiwan, where there is substantial goodwill towards Japan, to the prefecture to meet with local businesspeople and create greater business opportunities.
