As Northern Kyushu enters the rainy season, Fukuoka City urges residents to use the “Tsunagaru+” disaster preparedness app developed with a private company. The app, available since 2018, helps users find nearby shelters, check routes and facility conditions, and share information on relief supplies during disasters. It also allows the registration of images from non-designated shelters for resource delivery. Additionally, Fukuoka has set up trial pet-friendly shelters in two districts. Mayor Takashima emphasized the importance of early preparation for increasingly severe natural disasters. Source: Fukuoka City (Tsunagaru+) / NHK
