Fukuoka Prefecture’s total population stood at 5,097,710 as of October 1, 2024, marking a year-on-year decline of 9,202. However, the Fukuoka metropolitan area, centered on Fukuoka City, saw an increase of 13,310 people due to net in-migration, underscoring a growing population concentration in the region.
