The Mori Memorial Foundation’s Institute for Urban Development released a ranking of urban cities in Japan for 2019 and Fukuoka again secured second place. The project analyzed seventy-two cities outside Tokyo based on six criteria, including business and accessibility. This year, Fukuoka saw a leap in its score for business thanks to the successful efforts in creating a comfortable environment for foreign residents. The cities of Kitakyushu, Kagoshima, and Kumamoto, ranked 17th, 19th and 22nd respectively in the ranking. Source: Mori Memorial Foundation
