Fukuoka City-based employment agency ACR Career Supply released the results of its survey on the hiring policies of Fukuoka and Saga prefecture companies. The survey showed that roughly 90% of the 305 companies surveyed do not have plans to hire foreign employees. There had been a growing interest in the manufacturing industry to hire skilled overseas workers, but the economic downturn is causing companies to scale back on hiring regardless of the nationality of the worker.
