Fukuoka to Get a New MBA Program

Tokyo-based Executive Japan has announced plans to offer an MBA program in Fukuoka starting next April. Executive Japan has been offering an MBA in Tokyo since Sept. 2014 in cooperation with England’s Buckinghamshire New University. The Fukuoka program will be its second in the country. The company has decided to foray into Fukuoka given its proximity to Asia, its growing international business community and its young population. It plans to offer an MBA course that can be completed in as little as 15 months, and the expected tuition is ¥1.7 million, or roughly 60% of the cost of a Japanese university MBA. Executive Japan will become the third MBA offered in Fukuoka after Kyushu University and Globis. An information session is scheduled for Nov. 5 at the company’s Hakata office.
