Fukuoka City’s Fukuoka Dome will be the stage of Pool A’s first-round games in the 2013 World Baseball Classic (WBC) qualifier, Mar 2~6. Three of the four teams have been announced for Pool A. They are; Japan, Cuba and China. The fourth country is yet be decided. The 2013 WBC will see 28 teams enter- up from 16 in the 2006 and 2009. The first-round games will be in a round-robin format, with the second-round being double elimination. Tokyo will be one of the locations for second-round games.
