Fukuoka to Receive More Foreign Trainees

The P-W-J Cooperative, a Chikugo City-based association of small and medium-sized enterprises, will welcome its first technical trainees from Myanmar next spring. The group is taking action in response to demands for human resources from SMEs that plan to advance into Asia in the future. The cooperative’s members include 40 SMEs from around Kyushu, and the 20 Myamarese trainees they will accept will be dispatched to companies in Fukuoka and Saga prefectures. J Project, another training initiative whose members include Toyota affiliated parts makers, will bring a total of 500 trainees, or 19% more than last year, to its training facility in Chikujo Town.
